“Love is the ability and willingness to allow those that you care for to be what they choose for themselves without any insistence that they satisfy you.” —Wayne Dyer

Came across this quote today on Facebook and it sums up so much of what I am feeling and thinking about. I see more and more in my life that love is a choice, that the truest love, the deepest love and the purest love is the love that is a choice, because it is more sacrificial, honest, and unconditional than any feeling that we could have. To love someone and care for them especially when it brings no reward or return to us is the kind of love that changes the world, it was and is that kind of love that Jesus gave to us on the cross. Christ died knowing that is sacrifice was sufficient for all but not all would be saved, but get this, he never begrudges those that he dies for that did not accept his sacrifice, he loved them all the more. Imagine if you made a sacrifice for someone, say you came into work on your day off to work for them, got up early on a Saturday, and got to work only to find that they where there anyway, ready to work. I don’t know about you but I would have been pretty mad to have to get up and ready for work on a day I didn’t have to. Imagine what It would have felt like to be on the cross knowing that you gave everything and that there still would be people who won’t receive what you bought for them, and he never spoke against those people in fact he was broken hearted or them. That is a love like no other, that in perfect love.

Until then…
